I'm Evrenus Fırat Polat. I founded Before You Call a Pro and run it as an independent publisher from Kocaeli, Türkiye. My role on the site is Editor & Researcher.

I'm a software developer with more than seven years of full-stack experience, and I build the site's diagnostic tools, such as the diagnose questions and the repair-or-replace calculator.

I am not a licensed technician; that is why every guide is checked against manufacturer documentation and tells you when to call one. I don't test products or repairs myself, and the site never claims that I do.
